Faux stained glass is not the real thing , But a manufactured synthetic aspect. The cost and effort required in the actual stained glass can be intimidating. If you are not ready for real stuff but still want to have coins that can be admired by your friends and add to your home decor, fake tinted glass is for you.
If you opt for the fake stained glass, you still have to do the job. First, you must decide the design. Then you need glass, bonding materials, and patterns. Lastly, you will need to use cutting and polishing tools.
Clean the glass with a good solvent such as an ammonia solution. Make sure that the surface of the glass is smooth and even. Lead is the preferred binder material because it is easy to work with and is durable.
The procedure itself consists of the application of the adhesive and lead to the gardens. The edges are then achieved and polished, and the film or other synthetic material is applied. If you have a prefabricated model, you just need to apply it. If you use a film and intend to cut the pattern on the glass, first adhere the film and cut the patterns. Leave a couple of hours for the adhesive to dry, and your stained imitation glass is ready.
The above steps are a broad vision of what to follow to create your own stained glass windows. You will need to accept detailed instructions from manufacturers or other specialists before beginning work.
